Joey's Updates Menu for 2006
New dishes and bold graphic design result in fresh new look
Calgary, AB (March 14, 2006) — Joey's Only Seafood Restaurants is in the process of rolling out its new 2006 menu to restaurants across Canada this month. In addition to its bigger format, complete redesign and fresh photographs, Joey's has expanded and improved its menu offerings.

In addition to the bold new graphic design, Joeys has added several new menu items. Here's what's new.
  • Appetizers — Malibu Coconut Shrimp, Scallop & Bacon Skewers, Classic Shrimp Cocktail and Garlic Breaded Mushrooms.
  • Soups & Salads — The Blackened Salmon Caesar.
  • Wraps & Sandwiches — A Pulled Pork Sandwich made with lean roasted pork has been added. This item along with the Chicken Breast Sandwich and the Wild Pacific Salmon Burger are now served on a warmed herb Foccacia bun to add more flavor.
  • Joey's Classics — The Mississippi Delta Combo will appeal to customers with a big appetite an/or who like to sample a variety of offerings. This menu item includes Coconut Shrimp, Blackened Snapper and a ½ Rack of Jack's BBQ Ribs.
For the first time, Joey's is adding Salads to its list of no charge side dish options. "Many Joey's patrons are opting for healthier side dishes such as steamed vegetables, rice pilaf and salad," says Senior VP, Andy Taylor. Taylor noted that in the past year Joey's has experienced stronger consumer demand for Joey's health friendly side dish options that includes Steamed Vegetables and Rice Pilaf. "Many customers are opting for these choices as a substitute for French Fries so now these items are featured in our new menu."

Commenting on the new menu design, Joey's Marketing VP, Kathy Flynn explained: "To keep our concept fresh and adapt to changing consumer trends, we update our menu as required. The latest design changes include a physically larger menu to accommodate bigger food photos. We've also strategically incorporated bold new color blocks to highlight photos and menu items. As well, we added a menu cover branded with the Joey's logo and yellow Fat Fish. The end result is a bold new menu format that is bright, easy to read and as fresh as the fare we serve."

Joey's still appeals to the value conscious consumer by offering good size portions at a reasonable price. The average entrée is priced between $9.99 & $12.99.
