20th Anniversary scratch 'n win contest features thousands of prizes
including WestJet flights, digital cameras and Travelodge Gift Cards

Ron Hardie, a resident of Stonewall, Mantitoba, located 20 kilometres north
of Winnipeg is the winner of a new Mercedes Smart Car from Joey's Only Seafood
Restaurant's 20th anniversary "Go Fish and reel in the prizes" Scratch 'n Win
contest. The national promotion conducted throughout October and November
allowed customers the chance to win thousands of spectacular prizes including
Mercedes Smart Cars, WestJet flights, digital cameras, Travelodge Gift Cards,
and in-restaurant food and beverages.
"The 'Go Fish and reel in the prizes' contest allowed Joey's to give something
meaningful back to our customers and also to say thank you for 20 great years of
business," says Joe Klassen, Joey's Only Founder. "We wanted a contest where our
customers had a lot of chances to win a number of great prizes."
"There have been a number of large prize winners from BC to Ontario," explains
Kathy Flynn VP Marketing & Communications. "Joey's winners have until
December 16, 2005 to claim any Mercedes Smart Car Vouchers, WestJet Flight
Voucher/Gift Certificates, Travelodge Gift Cards or Digital Cameras. Food
and beverage and toy prizes can be redeemed at Joey's until December 31, 2005."
"Go Fish" was promoted in-store through a variety of point-of-purchase marketing
materials including posters, table cards and banners. Local advertising and
marketing was managed by franchisees using a selection of materials that
included flyer artwork, newspaper ads, and radio commercials. During the
"Go Fish" promotion Joey's encouraged customers to sign up for its E-Club,
an online email service that provides Joey's customers with exclusive offers,
promotions, discounts, and newsletters.
