Joey's Only Splashes into Summer with New Health Conscious Menu
New "Fresh Catch of Summer" Fare Includes Grilled Halibut with Shrimp Skewer
Calgary, AB — Beginning in June, Joey's Only Seafood Restaurants will roll out its "Fresh Catch of Summer" feature menu. First introduced in the summer 2004, the "Fresh Catch of the Summer" features protein topped salads and lighter, grilled fare.

"We are appealing to health conscious consumers with the introduction of our new Grilled Halibut with Shrimp Skewer and Fresh Fruit with low-fat yogurt and granola," says Andy Taylor, Joey's VP Operations. "We are also providing nutritional information for these two new menu items."

In support of its new health-conscious menu items, Joey's Only is including a number of healthy living tips and Internet resource guides. Messages include the health benefits of seafood and vegetables combined with an active lifestyle. Some of the lifestyle websites include: www.healthyontario.com, www.heartandstroke.ca, Canada's Food Guide, (www.hc-sc.gc.ca) and Canada's Physical Activity Guide to Healthy Active Living, (www.paguide.com).

The three month "Fresh Catch of Summer" campaign is being promoted in-store through a new four-page folded menu and point of purchase marketing materials. Local advertising and marketing is managed by franchisees using a variety of materials (e.g. food photos, flyer artwork, ad slicks, and radio scripts) created by Joey's in-house marketing department. During the "Fresh Catch of Summer" promotion Joey's is encouraging customers to join its E-Club to receive exclusive offers, promotions, discounts, and newsletters via email.

Taylor added that Joey's is also bringing back traditional summer favourites such as the Grilled Salmon with Salad, Blackened Wild Salmon Caesar, Sesame Thai Chicken Salad and Raz-Berry Blast ice cream pie dessert.
